  • Can I also order jewelry without breast milk?
    Yes, of course! I make all kinds of commemorative jewelry. Hair, umbilical cord, placenta, ashes, flowers, etc. can be incorporated, all without breast milk.
  • Do you also implement design requests?
    Yes of course, I also make pieces of jewelry according to your personal wishes. There are no limits to creativity and almost anything that has meaning for you can be processed.
  • I would like to have a memory processed that cannot be found in the shop?
    I would be happy to process any memory for you that is important, it has to be a “dry” thing. Trade a memorabilia. I have been able to use many different materials, such as mirrors, banners, fabrics, feathers, earth, shells, stones, etc.
  • How do you pay?
    There are various payment options available: ApplePay, Paypal, credit card (Mastercard or Visa), Paypal, Sofortüberweisung and bank transfer If you pay by bank transfer, transfer the invoice amount to the bank account, stating your order number and your order name. is specified to you during order processing. Please transfer the amount within a week, as the jewelry blanks must be ordered promptly in a large order.
  • Can I cancel my order?
    Yes, but only as long as your breast milk hasn't reached me by post. Unfortunately it's too late after that because I immediately start making the jewelry. Please send me your cancellation by email to info@erinnerungsjuwel.at
  • Can I return my finished piece of jewelry?
    No, since these are individually manufactured products made from materials you sent in, the right of withdrawal does not apply.
  • How much breast milk is needed for one piece of jewelry?
    I need approx. 20 ml of breast milk for one piece of jewelry. For each additional piece of jewelry I need 5 ml extra breast milk.
  • I can't pump out the required amount at once?
    The milk does not have to be expressed all at once. You can also pump several times until you have the required amount. You should store the breast milk in the refrigerator in a closed container until shipping.
  • How old can breast milk be?
    Since the milk does not have to be suitable for consumption, it does not matter how old the milk is. It should simply not have developed any mold and should have been continuously cooled or frozen by the time it is shipped.
  • How durable is the jewelry?
    The strength of hardened breast milk can be compared to solid plastic. It is quite scratch-resistant and stable.
  • Can jewelry yellow?
    Due to the preservation process, breast milk in hardened form cannot decompose further. Nevertheless, breast milk remains a natural product, which in rare cases does turn yellow. This is neither a quality defect nor a manufacturing defect. The clear casting resin can also yellow slightly over the course of several years, as many plastics do. According to the manufacturer, the casting resin I use is very UV resistant.
  • Why does my jewelry look different than in the pictures?
    Breast milk varies greatly. There is white, yellow or even greenish milk. The fat content also plays a role. Therefore, each jewelry is unique in its own way. And may differ slightly from templates. Since I make everything by hand myself, slight deviations can occur here too.
  • How do I know that my breast milk is really being used?
    I 100% guarantee that your breast milk will be used to make your jewelry. Having breastfed myself, I understand how emotional and personal this topic is. It is very important to me to create your personal jewelry with your breast milk and to capture this wonderful time with your child. I couldn't reconcile anything else with my conscience.When your milk arrives, I pour it into a container and label it straight away. Hair and umbilical cords are labeled in the same way so that there can be no confusion.
  • How do I send my breast milk
    Breast milk must be placed in a well-sealed breast milk bag. Pack the first breast milk bag into a second breast milk bag and close it tightly again. Breast milk bags are available at the drugstore or on Amazon. Please be sure to label the breast milk bags with your name! Then put the bags in a padded envelope and only send them by post Monday to Wednesday so that the envelope doesn't stay at the post office over the weekend. You must thaw frozen breast milk beforehand and only then may it be sent. Shipping is at your risk; if there is damage (leakage), the envelope and its contents will be disposed of.
  • How much hair/fur is needed?
    If possible, a small tuft of hair/fur, approx. 3 to 4 cm would be perfect, but not a must. I will of course send the leftover hair/fur back to you.
  • Will my sent-in hair/strands of fur actually be processed?
    As soon as the strand of hair/fur arrives, it will be numbered and labeled with a name. Through this process, I ensure that only your submitted hair/strands of fur are processed. As soon as I receive your shipment, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • How do I ship hair/fur?
    If possible, cut off a small tuft of hair/fur (approx. 2 to 3 cm would be perfect, but not a must.) Put the hair in a small bag in cling film or aluminum foil and label it. Attention: Please do not kink your hair, otherwise I will have to incorporate the kink. Then place the hair in a bubble envelope or envelope, label it and send the stamped envelope to the address given on the invoice.
  • How much ash is needed?
    Approximately 3g - 4g of ash is required for one piece of jewelry. I will of course send the remaining ashes back to you.
  • What must the condition of the ashes be?
    Please only send dry ashes.

  • How do I send ashes?

  • What is the best way to dry my bridal bouquet/flowers?
    The best way to dry an entire bridal bouquet is to hang it upside down in a dark, dry room. The darkness keeps the color of the flowers as best as possible. However, this process takes some time. If the bouquet is tied too tightly, mold can form because not enough air gets to individual areas. If this is the case, it is better to take the bouquet apart a bit. If things go a little faster, individual flowers can be dried in a thick book. It is also possible to send the fresh bouquet via express delivery, which will then be dried using a special process. The process ensures a more color-intensive and fresher result.
  • How much of the bridal bouquet is needed?
    Please send me 1-2 flowers/blooms from the bridal bouquet for a piece of jewelry. I will of course send the leftover flowers/blooms back to you.
  • What must the condition of the flowers be like?
    The flowers can be already dried or fresh.
  • Will the flowers I send in actually be used?
    As soon as the flowers arrive, they are numbered and labeled with names. Through this process, I ensure that only your flowers are processed. As soon as I receive your shipment, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • How do I send flowers?
    Dry flowers Pack the dried flowers in a small bag and label them. Then place in a bubble envelope or postal envelope and send the labeled and stamped envelope to the address stated on the invoice. Whole bouquet If you want to send a whole bouquet, it is best to send it in a box stuffed with newspaper.   • Do I have to send the entire umbilical cord piece?
    I always send leftovers back with the jewelry.So you can either send the whole piece of umbilical cord to me with the clip or you can cut off a piece (about the size of your little fingernail).
  • What must the condition of the umbilical cord/placenta be like?
    Please only send me a completely dried umbilical cord/placenta.
  • Will the umbilical cord/placenta I sent in actually be used?
    As soon as the umbilical cord/placenta arrives, it will be numbered and labeled with a name. Through this procedure, I ensure that only your umbilical cord/placenta is processed. As soon as I receive your shipment, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • How do I ship the umbilical cord/placenta?
    Pack the dried umbilical cord/placenta in a small bag and label it. Then place in a bubble envelope or postal envelope and send the labeled and stamped envelope to the address stated on the invoice.
  • What condition must the teeth be in?
    Please clean the tooth thoroughly and then dry it.
  • Will the teeth I send in actually be used?
    As soon as the teeth arrive, they will be numbered and labeled with names. Through this procedure, I ensure that only your teeth are processed. As soon as I receive your shipment, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • How do I ship teeth?
    Pack the dried teeth into a small bag and label it. Then place in a bubble envelope or postal envelope and send the labeled and stamped envelope to the address stated on the invoice.
  • How is the tooth processed?
    If the shape allows it, the tooth is processed as a whole into the piece of jewelry. If the piece of jewelry you ordered is too small for your tooth, I will contact you personally to find a suitable solution with you.
  • Which motifs can be engraved?
    Almost any motif can be engraved, there are almost no limits to creativity. If you have a very personal engraving request, please send me an email to info@erinnerungsjuwel.at Numbers, letters, fingerprints, hand and footprints, photos, drawings, symbols, etc. can be engraved.
  • How is engraving done?
    The jewelry is engraved using a diamond engraving machine. Special motifs, patterns, images, lettering or certain data are attached to the respective piece of jewelry using a CNC machine and a diamond.
  • How do I send you data for engraving?

  • How long is the delivery time?
    Each souvenir jewel is manufactured using a complex process and requires a lot of time to dry in order to be really durable and scratch-resistant. After drying, each piece of jewelry is sanded and polished. A UV seal is then applied over it, which takes some time to dry. Since this is a very time-consuming process, delivery times are up to 12 weeks. Depending on which piece of jewelry is to be processed and which piece of jewelry is chosen, the delivery time is longer or shorter.
